2019 Apple Royalty to be crowned in Gays Mills on Saturday

The Gays Mills Apple Festival Committee would like to announce the candidates for the 2019 Apple Queen Royalty. 

Maya Cade
MAYA CADE is one of the two candidates for the title of 2019 Apple Queen.

The first candidate is Maya Cade, 15, is the daughter of Kathleen Cade, Gays Mills. Maya is a sophomore at North Crawford High School. She enjoys reading, writing, drawing, dancing, singing and dancing. Maya is active in the North Crawford Playhouse, Choir, and will be a Football and Wrestling Cheerleader this coming school year.  Her favorite thing about Apple Fest is the food, and spending time with her friends. Maya's sponsor is J & J's on Main.

McKenna Johnson
MCKENNA JOHNSON is one of the two candidates for the title of 2019 Apple Queen.

  The second candidate is McKenna Johnson.  McKenna, 15, is the daughter of Amy Johnson and a sophomore at North Crawford High School. McKenna enjoys drawing, writing, reading, acting and singing.  She is active in the North Crawford Playhouse, Wrestling Cheerleader, Volleyball, Softball, Solo & Ensemble, Band and Choir.  McKenna's favorite thing about Apple Fest is Apple Cider Donuts. Her sponsor is Thairapy by Jordan.

The Apple Queen Coronation will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the Village of Gays Mills Community Center.  There will be a Meet and Greet Reception beginning at 5 p.m., and the crowning program will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 for Adults and Children ages 11+, $5 for Children ages 3-10, and Children ages 0-2 and Visiting Royalty are Free.
